What our interns think

During my internship at Sareq I worked full time on different projects to improve margins and inventory management at Better Hockey, one of Sareq's portfolio companies.

From my very first day, I felt more like an integral part of a close-knit team than just an intern following a set schedule. Rather than following a rigid program, I entered a dynamic environment where everyone, from seasoned professionals to recent arrivals, encouraged me to fully engage. Each project presented real world challenges, and I was entrusted with responsibilities that allowed me to make meaningful contributions rather than merely observe. In this supportive and continually evolving setting, I gained not only valuable skills but also the confidence and adaptability that will serve me well beyond my internship.

At Sareq I was given the opportunity to support several exciting projects related to their planned IPO. I retrieved information and laid the foundation to their sustainability report as well as initiated relationships with external partners to plan for how the portfolio companies should provide sustainability reporting in accordance with new legal requirements.

I also got a glimpse into what it is like to work at an investment firm that is operationally engaged and works in partnership with their portfolio companies, which was incredibly rewarding and has increased my interest to work in a similar role after having completed my studies.

In addition, it was a fulfilling and fun experience where I learnt a lot from my colleagues. Definitely an employer that I could recommend!

As an intern at Sareq I have had the opportunity work with a wide variety of tasks, where my main focus has been to support the group financial reporting process that needs to upgraded ahead of Sareq's anticipated IPO. I have also contributed to the IFRS reporting process for the portfolio companies. One of the most rewarding aspects of my time at Sareq has been the possibility to take significant own responsibility, to drive projects forward and to identify interesting working tasks myself. It has been a learning experience which has given me valuable insights into entrepreneurship and niche industries outside my normal radar screen.

To combine the part-time internship with my studies has been very valuable and I have really enjoyed working at Sareq. My colleagues have been both nice and supportive and the internship offers a good balance between work and leisure time.

During my Sareq internship I was given the opportunity to work on several exciting projects. My main tasks included supporting Akustikcenter to launch their subsidiary Tystkonst and to conduct a market study for Pontech. Through these projects I had the opportunity to:

  • Work with interesting and challenging tasks
  • Take significant responsibility and drive projects forward
  • Deepen my knowledge in selected niche markets

In addition to my tasks I really appreciated the work environment at Sareq, which was characterized by helpful colleagues and a strong sense of community.
